I just love how our church steeple seems to reach up into the sky forever on a sunny day like today. The weather vane was glistening in the sun and the sky was such a brilliant blue, I had to stop and take a picture.
@livvy14 It may look that way in the photo Livvy, but when your there, it's really just pretty! @espyetta Thanks MaryBeth! There are so many old buildings with geometric patterns created by the bricks. They're very beautiful to look at. Thank you so much for the fav!! @karenann Thank you so much Karenann!
@bruni Thank you Bruni- this building was built in 1874. There were three other places of worship before that- the town hall first, and then two wooden churches that were eventually replaced by this one.
and i'm so glad you did stop and take a picture. i love that weather vane. in fact i love weather vanes. love the squiggly shadows, too, and that sky is so blue you would think it's summer!

@olivetreeann Yep! someone was nice enough to let me know. .. I was taking a break before working a bit in my classroom and then heading home for dinner with hubby and mother in law. I checked in and got informed about mine....got there and yours was right there next to mine! Yay! Congrats! It is fun to get one on the PP. :0)
@michaelelliott Thank you Michael! It doesn't tower as high as some of the NYC skyscrapers, but in Milford it's the top of the line! Interestingly, the clock was requested by the town and the church obliged.
@olivetreeann - when we had the summer house in Hemlock we used to go into Milford all the time - it was like the big city in the area :) I got a speeding ticket there once haha for going 40 miles per hour.
