I knew I'd be running about today, so I'm posting early (for me!). I took this one on the way home from church Sunday and saved it for today. This lovely array of colors is at the base of the mountain I live on and is only slightly enhanced to bring up the contrast and intensity. (Oh and I did clone out a bothersome wire, but you might not be able to tell where! Sometimes I just love processing!)
Nothing like an early post to clear the day. Beautiful capture of amazing color. We are finally seeing that here too (warm weather has delayed it this season). Have a nice day :)
Wow, those trees look so beautiful! Thank you so much for mentioning me in your thank-you-discussion. It means a lot to me! I would like to reciprocate the compliment. I always love your comments on my pictures. You're so kind and loyal!
@steeler Thank you Howard! @geertje Thank you Geertje! And you're welcome, but you certainly deserved the mentioning! @pandorasecho Thank you Dixie- each has its own beauty! I love the smell of an evergreen forest. @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @sanera Thanks Samantha. I think we hit peak this past week end. Today as I drove around I noticed a lot of trees thinning out. But I'm not ready for snow yet!
@karenann Thanks Karenann! Yes- getting that wire out of there really helped the picture! @cimes1 Thank you Carole- you are so sweet! Thanks for the fav! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! The sun was hitting them just right! I was glad to catch the shot.
@digitalrn Thank you Rick! @dmariewms Thank you Marie! Most of the time I can shoot around them, but this time I couldn't- so it's nice to have the luxury of editing them out if need be.
@changingtides I wouldn't mind an 85 degree day at all!! Although it was pretty nice today and I managed to get by with just a sweater- but tonight, it's going to be chilly! Thanks Allie!
This is gorgeous! Sometimes, I like wires in my photo, but they have to be "just right"....here, it would have marred the beauty I think so good choice! It reminds me of Blue Mt. ....where I grew up.
@sanera Thank you Samantha! This one was fairly simple because of where it was in the picture (upper right hand corner). And it takes me more than one pass because I don't quite understand how the "brush" works sometimes. It takes practice! @summerfield Thanks Summerfield- you are very kind!! @dbjohnson Thanks Dean. This was one of the most colorful spots, but for the most part the rainy summer gave us a lot of brown this year.
@bkbinthecity Thank you bkb! @potsbypam Thank you Pam! @daveanajao Aww shucks Dave! You're amazing too! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! @adobewaters Thank you Adobe! (o: @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! I bumped it up just a notch for contrast, but it was truly that brilliant with the sun hitting the leaves.
Thank you one and all!! Your comments are so uplifting!!
So gorgeous..nicely framed too. fav. Ann. I upgraded to picnik and Ithink they have a cloning app. have'nt tried it yet. what are you using for your processing?
@bruni Thank you Bruni & thanks for the fav! Yes- Picnik is what I use and you can find the cloning effect in the Advanced section. I find it best to use in small pieces saving as you go, rather than doing a big section all at once. It does come in handy!
@geertje Thank you Geertje! And you're welcome, but you certainly deserved the mentioning!

@espyetta thanks MaryBeth- yes they definitely ruined the picture on this one.
