A little over a month ago my granddaughter's music class was raising funds for their music program by selling wreaths. As I looked over the options to purchase they all looked lovely, but one in particular had my name on it- my maiden name that is. I just had to order it and it arrived today. How exciting! So here it is proudly displayed on my door- with some wintery processing to add to the festive ribbon- Hamilton plaid ribbon that is!
@cimes1 (o: Thank you Carole- the company is in Maine and they make all their wreaths in a cottage business run by homeschoolers! I was pleased to support both endeavors.
How lovely! And to think that buying this seasonal decoration also helped others. That makes it even better. I used to buy my wreath from a friend at another school who's son sold them for his football team. The son graduated but the mother kept selling them. Moms are like that!
@karenann Thank you Karenann! It's not my usual style- but I kind of liked the way it turned out. @allie912 Thanks Allison- many years ago I always bought our tree from the Boy Scouts for the same reason- just wanted to support the kids even though I didn't have any sons in the Boy Scouts at the time. @nanascraps Thanks Barbara! Glad you enjoyed it.
@steeler Thank you Howard! @alia_801 Thanks Alia (my Scottish blood is beaming with pride!) @summerfield Thank you Summerfield- it's not my usual kind of processing, but I did like the results.
@lisjam1 Thanks Lisa- I love it! @bruni Thanks Bruni- funny that you called me "Miss Hamilton"- I had an professor at college who called me that all the time too. @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry! @mrssmith Thank you Carla- I'm loving the smell of fresh cut pine every time I open the door too!
I would love to see your house. You have embraced the Christmas spirit with fervour and your images just exude warmth and togetherness.
Well done in bringing this across so well.
@kloud Thank you so much Bonnie! This processing is a bit of a departure for me- I don't usually do the cutesy little stickers- but the spray on the white door was sort of stark and the red rim needed something to offset the intensity of the color. And any time you find yourself traveling to the eastern side of Pennsylvania in the US, the door is open to you- I'd love to have you come visit! In fact I have a friend who has tracking dogs like you and I'd love to have you meet each other!
