I really couldn't decide on which photo to post today. None of them really struck me as "the picture" even after fooling around with my catch-all processing favorites. So I'm using a shot of my tree lights that I took the other night. I like how the "crystalize" effect put what looks like little light bulbs back on the streaks of light writing I did. I hope your Christmas lights are bringing you as much good cheer this season as mine are to me!
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @karenann Thank you Karenann- I'm sort of partial to it, I must say! So many people have lovely decorations. I enjoy seeing all the different ways people decorate their homes and trees. I hope to post of a picture of my tree soon. It's going to be a bit tricky to shoot it because it's in a corner and not easy to get the whole thing. @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @digitalrn Thanks Rick!
The original shot only showed curly q's made by a longer exposure and slow shutter. The post processing added in the colored dots.
I wish my camera would allow more time for the shutter to stay open because I really love drawing with light. But it only stays open for a little squiggle. It's still fun though. Thanks for all your enthusiastic comments!
@daveanajao Thank you Dave- I think your bokeh shots have been much better! But I don't have control as to how long the shutter stays open so these shots have to be quick! Adding the crystalize effect helped to make it a bit more sparkly.
@changingtides Thanks Allie! I think I've become hooked on "light writing". I took a whole batch more tonight- but will save them for fillers if I need them. They really do come out pretty cool!
