Same Subject Challenge Day 2

The Festival of Hanukkah retells the story of the Macabees who fought to regain control of Jerusalem and the Temple from the Selucids. After their victory, they undertook the task of cleansing the Temple. When they were finally able to relight the Temple menorah, only one day's worth of oil was available. Nonetheless the lampstand was lit and lo and behold when the priests returned to trim the wicks the following day, the candles were still lit! And they remained lit for eight days while the new oil was being pressed. The phrase "A great miracle happened there!" reminds all that the day's supply of oil lasting for eight days was a miracle by the hand of G-d. The two Hebrew letters seen on the dreidel here are part of an acronym which helps teach children this phrase.
