I think Bambi is a little upset with me. I wouldn't let him come inside and defrost by the fire. Jeff says he's covered in a blanket of snow, so he should be nice and warm anyway.
that's a beautiful blanket, looks cozy and warm, although we know it's far from being warm. i love snow in its pure form. snow in the city is not very nice. wonderful shot.
@mrssmith Thanks Carla- it's drifted a bit here, but we did get a nice coating! @dmariewms Thanks Marie! @allie912 Thank you Allison! Truth be told, I cloned out a distracting stick! @inertie Thank you Inertia! It could turn into a story couldn't it? @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- he was as still a a statue! @eyetoeye Thanks Maria! @summerfield Thank you Vikki! @woot Thanks Davide!
And the snow blanket makes him look awesome. Beautiful shadow and lighting effect on this, Ann. And there he is . . sitting right out in your own backyard. Waiting to have his turn on 365. :)
@bruni Thank you Bruni- yes, he's much happier in the Spring when all the Lily of the Valley blooms around him! @karenann Thanks Karenann- he is a slight bone of contention between Jeff and I. Jeff thinks it's ridiculous to have a cement deer ornament in the front garden when the real thing runs rampant in our woods. But I won't let him remove the "critters' because they came with the house! So we tease each other back and forth about them (we also have a cement raccoon in front too- different garden).
@bkbinthecity Thanks Brian- it wasn't really. We had about 5 inches, but this area had drifted and of course it's also covering Bambi's back giving the illusion of more than less.
@lacedxxoo Thanks Lacy- it is pretty (for a while!). @steeler Thanks Howard- not really. It's drifted here a little and it's covering the lawn decoration so it has the illusion of being deeper. We only got about 5 inches at the most. @alia_801 Thanks Alia- if only I'd waited on the word snow! @cimes1 Thank you so much Carole! I so appreciate the fav- it's put the sunshine in what is promising to be a very gray day!
@twinsplusone Thank you so much Sharon!!!! @kloud Thanks Bonnie! I have not heard the word dinkum before, but I like how it sounds! @melorac Thank you Carole- I think you might be right!
@geertje Thanks Geertje- it's not as thick as it looks. It has drifted a bit here over Bambi's body. We received about 5 inches, but it has all melted thanks to two warmer days.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! Definitely cool!
@potsbypam Thanks Pam!
