The little table by my bed holds treasured pictures and trinkets. The smallest frame was a gift from my younger son many many years ago; directly behind it is a picture of my mother as a little girl; behind my mother is a shot of myself and my sons when they were in high school; then my mother holding me as an infant; and finally Jeff and I at my sister's wedding. My mother gave me the little figurine with the hat when I was in high school; the small doily, wooden flower and dolly were craft fair purchases; and the glass candle was a birthday gift from a friend. Although it looks old, the lamp is a Tiffany knock-off, but it still gives off a nice warm glow. It was a gift from Jeff one year for our anniversary. The large doily under the lamp was made by my best friend from high school when Jeff and I were engaged. And lastly, the table, which is a lovely honey color was inherited from my grandmother. All in all it's a bedside with lots of stories on display! Not in the picture but usually on the table, the ugly modern alarm clock with the annoying buzzer.
This is beautiful. Wonderful memories all in one place. Gee, my bedside table has a lamp, a phone and a stack of books. Hmmm you are giving me an idea.
I could look at this forever . . it's amazing that PHOTOS are amongst our favorite treasures in life. This is beautiful, Ann. Aren't you glad that you're creating more photos to pass on down to the next generation.

that gives me an idea. thanks, ann. that is a wonderful memory keeper you have.
i have a picture of my mother with me and one of my younger sisters on my bedside table. i actually had some shots of the boys printed and gave them to their mother. i like for her to know that the boys enjoy themselves when they're with us here. the little one loved his photo which i took last feb. 3, where he got a "twin". i had it framed, too, and let him bring it back with him.
I love the light in this shot--such a pretty, soft glow! Really nice collection of photos and mementos--nice way to fall asleep. Sorry there has to be an alarm clock...
@eudora Thanks Diane- at the moment I am unemployed so thankfully I do not have to set that alarm clock! It really took away the mood of the shot, so I just put it on the floor for the picture.
@kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi!
