I like the way you process your images. I stared at this for a while trying to figure out something from the reflection and realized then the way you precessed this. I should try something like this someday
@woot Thanks Davide. The reflection is actually trees, but the original shot was slightly bland in my opinion. The angle and composition were fine, but it lacked color and texture. So, I first added some color and saturation, then added some vibrance and finally put it through the posterize effect which blurred the trees. I had two other versions- one in neon and one in the reverse effect- but this was the one I decided to post.
@pandorasecho I hadn't thought about it that way, but it kind of does! Thanks Dixie! @karenann Thanks Karenann! You make me smile! @espyetta Thanks MaryBeth! lol our neighbor across the street has a truck and boat parked on the lawn with a For Sale sign, a tarp covered utility tent on the side of his house and a bunch of other "redneck" odds n' ends scattered about. So it's not the most glorious sight, but it's not as bad as it could be either! However, if we don't look directly across the street, it is a pretty view!
@sharritta Thanks Sharon- I do enjoy playing around with the photos. You never know what might catch your fancy. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian- I was looking for something a little different than the usual head-on shot. @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi- I wanted something different, so played around with different ideas. This was what I liked best. @adobewaters Thanks Adobe- I had a couple different results with different effects, but this was the one I liked the best. @nicolecampbell lol Thanks Nicole! @sangwann Thanks Dione- I wanted to do a different shot rather than the typical head-on type. And I liked how this angle caught the reflections in the window. @peterdegraaff lol Thanks Peter! @cimes1 Thanks Carole. The original shot was ok, but somewhat bland. I wanted a little more color and texture. The processing helped to bring that out. @alia_801 Thanks Alia. The processing helped to bring out the reflections and texture. At the time I took the shot we had some clouds moving overhead and they washed out the color. That's one area where digital has an advantage over film- you can fix just about anything! @meoprisan Thanks Mihaela! The editing really helped to bring out the reflections. @twinsplusone Thanks Sharon! The processing helped to bring out the color and texture, which wasn't as strong in the original.
@allie912 Thank you Allison. Lately I have been wondering if I'd really caught on to photography when I took a dark room class what I might be doing today as an artist/photographer. Water under the bridge now, but it's an interesting thought! @sanera Thanks Samantha! The angle makes the reflection more interesting. The usual shot would be to take it so that you can see more of it, but becasue it's slanted so sharply, you're more drawn to look and see what it is.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
