Orange or Blue

The last day of October is Halloween. Last year we had a major snow storm two days before Halloween. Everyone called it a "Freak Storm", shrugged it off and continued on with the year. This year a hurricane rolled in for Halloween. We called it the "Super Storm", but it wasn't so easy to shrug this one off. Some folks on the coastline are still reeling from the massive destruction caused by Sandy and it will be some time before life returns to "normal" for them. There is no question about it. Our weather patterns are changing (as they always have throughout the world's existence) and they will continue to do so as long as our little planet travels through the sky. I'm not a huge fan of Halloween but I usually have a few goodies on hand just in case I get a visitor or two. This year Halloween was dark in our neighborhood and no trick or treaters came around for goodies. With no lights, no noise and only darkness, it was an eerie "holiday" indeed.
Must have been most weird, I guess even eerie.

I really like your little piggy in this one. Looks like a glass pumpkin, very nice. Sounds like yall have had some crazy weather the last couple of years. Maybe next year it will be a lot better. :-)

Thanks Ladies! This is Piggy's final Same October/Either Or October shot. I'd promised Dixie I'd do the same subject Tuesdays that I started in September, hence the Piggy and Pumpkin combo. Piggy did say she thought the pumpkin matched her little tube quite nicely.

I like the way you've journalled the effects of the storms through your photos, Ann. . .I really can't imagine what it must have been like. . .the most we've been without power is 4 days and that was horrible!

@lyno Thank you Lyn! You think you can't do it, but as the time progresses, you find yourself figuring out how to make it work. Of course I wouldn't want to go back and do it again all that soon, but at least I know I can adjust if I have to!
@kandernob thank you Karen!
@la_photographic thanks Laura!
@sangwann thanks Dione!
