No pretty, puffy clouds floating in a lovely blue sky today. Just a dreary and ugly gray cloud cover hanging overhead here. Another storm is on its way, but it should only bring a light dusting of snow.

The grey sky is the prevailing look here year round. I tend to not think about it until one day I suddenly see blue and realize I am warm. Then it feels so good. This kind of landscape always looks spooky yo me, like the Forest in OZ or the intro to that old series, "Tales from the dark side"
Thanks Colleen and Dixie! I was sort of in a slump today and didn't give this shot much thought. Just walked out on the back deck, took a snap and thought, "That's good enough." Wow- this is really crooked!

@salza Thanks Sally! I was so disgusted with the gray sky yesterday, I really just walked out the door, pointed the camera up and took a shot. I really don't like this- it makes me feel like I'm falling over backwards, but it is an accurate depiction of what the day was like!
@automaticslim Thanks Andy! You could tell there was some shades of gray with the naked eye, but the camera is not "smart" enough to see them. It's just a small point and shoot, but it does a decent job.

we've had our share, too, if you must know. last week, it was just one dreary day after another. i'm now one of those folks who can't wait for spring to come. this is nice for a drab day though. thank heavens for trees and other things, eh?
