I'm switching the list words around in honor of my Dad who would have been 89 today. I miss him terribly, what can I say? I thought it'd be nice to post a shot of us together and was thumbing through my old baby album when I found this one- taken in 1957 not too far from where I live now. I'm wearing my grandfather's pocket watch. Apparently I loved the ticking sound it made. (o:
@chrismarfil Thank you Chris- yes, quite precious! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @eniaral Thank you Laraine! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie- and thanks for the encouraging words. They are quite true. @sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry- lol!! @cdonohoue Thank you Cathy! You are so right. I like how Maggie put it too. @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @nancyperry Thank you Nancy- yes it's hard to not have him close by but even though I miss him, he is still in my heart.
What a wonderful tribute to your Dad and such a beautiful picture. Makes me think of my own Dad that passed away last year. Thank you for sharing this with us, it brought up some good memories for me =)
What a sweet photo. It's nice to be able to look back on our lives in photos. You were a very cute little thing! You can see how much he loves you. Nice tribute to your dad.
@wenbow Thanks Wendy! I'm not sure who took it though. It might have been my mother, but I'm not sure. Dad was usually the one with the camera when I was growing up.
goofing off so i can do some commenting before i go home. :-) it's funny how a lot of people change over the years, but your baby self and you now, from what i've seen of your selfies, still have the same cheeks and smile. and the boy isaac has a lot of resemblance to this baby. but thank heavens for beautiful memories, no?
@nadaa Thank you Nada! You know it's been encouraging to me to see so many women who have wonderful things to say about their fathers. I thought there were far more negative memories from current generations. But I'm seeing that that is not the case.
