Continuing to play with purposely over exposed shots- I had an idea of playing around with some tinsel and seeing what I'd come up with. This is a combination of two shots- an over exposed me playing with the tinsel and an over exposed shot of the tinsel itself with a slow shutter speed and ICM. Add a dozen or so tweaks in the processing and voila- a glittery dream. I think it's pretty (my silly but humble opinion)- and I usually hate shots of myself but I actually look ok in this one!
I'm posting tomorrow's holiday shot (tinsel and glitter) early because I'm hoping that the "activity" I'm doing tonight will be better than anything I could manufacture today-so stay tuned to see what that might be and pardon my date swapping!
Very cool! You could also call this a selfie. How do you get two shots mingled into one without overriding one shot? I can't figure out how to merge things. Great editing. Love the softness of it yet it shines as well. Great job!
Thank you so much each and every one of you!! It has been a crazy day, so I apologize for the mass thank you! For those of you who asked, I've merged pictures in a couple different ways. In this case I took the original shot (me with the tinsel), uploaded it and then applied the second shot (fuzzy tinsel) as a texture. I then painted some of the original picture back in. This allowed me to retain the dreamy over-exposed portion of my face and still get the sparkly feel of the tinsel as well. After I was satisfied with the two shots as one, I played around with the colors (adding a tinge of vibrance) and then cross-processed the whole thing to get some darker spots for balance. I added a vignette along with the frame in soft grays. I think it bumps up the sparkles. I think this is about to become my new profile pic!
Ann, I'm afraid your email account has been hacked, my account got an email that says it is from you but I'm sure it isn't "I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,my family and I came down here to London, United Kingdom for a short vacation. unfortunately,we were mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed, all cash and credit card were stolen off us but luckily for us we still have our passports with us.
We've been to the Embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves in few hours from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. Well I really need your financial assistance..Please, let me know if you can help us out?
@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie- if I had a dollar for everyone I've had to tell that I'm not in London and in need of money, I could actually go to London and have a great time with all my 365 friends there! I'm fine. Yes, my account was hacked and all my emails and contacts were stolen. So ignore the email and rest assured that my family and I are safe and happy. Also, I do not believe that kind of thing would happen to me in London because of all those aforementioned 365ers! Thanks for the concern and comment. Glad you like the shot.
