I was asked to speak at a friend's church today. She prepared a lovely holiday spread and 15 women from the church came to enjoy the food and listen to me. I had a wonderful time! Of course, I did have to some explaining as to why it was so important for me to take a picture of the food on the table!
I also received some good news! Yahoo! was able to restore my email contacts! Happy dance!! It's been a busy day and I'm tired! So, I'll be turning in now, but I'll get back to viewing and commenting tomorrow! Good night all!
I'd be interested in hearing what you spoke about! Glad you enjoyed it and the spread that is here in front of us! That's a lovely drink flask and it sounds wonderful - pineapple mango iced tea!
Thank you Vikki, Lyn, Maggie, Sally, Ruth, Alia, Ellen, Dione, Rick, Allison (It was entitled Christmas True or False), Chris, Bev, Andy and Henri!
It definitely was a lovely spread, enjoyed by all! For those of you who wondered what my talk was about...although I do not have a video or audio version for you to hear, I can send you the printed version if you would like. Just email me at Olivetreeann@yahoo.com and I will be happy to send you my talk. It's called Christmas true or false and I cover some of the traditions surrounding Christmas and compare them to the Bible and Biblical times to see how they match up. It's done in a true/false quiz type format. Of course when I'm speaking the audience participates with the answers.
@eniaral You are too kind Laraine! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie but truth be told I'm always a little nervous when I speak and would prefer to not have to do it in front of people!! (o: Joking of course, but I do get nervous. @pjonas Thank you Patty! @sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry!
What a beautiful spread. Oh yes, most definitely take a photo of the goodies. Need to remember to do that at my daughter's at Christmas. She puts out the most beautiful display of hors' doevres.
