Today's Me-March challenge called for "Something I Like to Look At" and the Mull Over March word was "drink". So here is a favorite pass-time of mine- sipping a cup of hot chocolate and looking through my picture books. This one has pictures from my trip to Boston this summer in it. And yes, that's a little bit of steam escaping from my favorite hot chocolate mug.
@nadaa Thanks Nada- not the whole afternoon (although tempting!!), just long enough for a hot chocolate break and a quick look through the book for the shot! @mrssmith Thank you Carla! I think that's probably an adequate description of my home! Come and visit any time!!
@cdonohoue Thank you Cathy! Well, I couldn't spend the whole afternoon on it as I'm preaching on Sunday and I had to work on my sermon, but it was a nice break when I needed it! @lyno Thank you Lyn! I kind of threw it together without much thought!
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! I didn't think it would come out when I took the shot so I was pleased that it showed just a little bit. @jplovescotton Thank you Janice! I took one in color too, but the sepia really gave it a nice feeling.
I have done this on certain occasions, and it is so nice to have your memories in a book like this, so well organized. Very nicely done. I like the tones.
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! I do love to look at pictures! @pflaume Thank you Lisa! If you are ever coming to eastern PA, you are more than welcome to stop in!! @smithak Thank you Smitha! Well, this was just a quick break and not the whole afternoon, but it was still quite enjoyable! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! I used to do them by hand but have totally run out of space! This style is so much smaller and compact, so I am eventually switching over to them completely. The sepia really fit the subject matter.
@taffy Thank you Taffy! I had taken a shot in color too but the sepia really worked so much better. I'm trying to do both challenges in the same shot as long as I can. I have a feeling I won't be able to combine "something I like to snuggle" and "breakfast" on the 6th!
Ann, this is so lovely and the chocolate tones go so well with the image and your thoughts. How coincidental .... I was browsing though some photo albums yesterday marveling at how fast the years have flown by! I still keep a photo album a year and have quite a collection. Still need to do some digitals....so time consuming though
@bellasmom Thank you Dina! And thanks for the follow! I shall return the favor shortly! @prttblues Thanks Bev! You are always welcome to drop in! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! Yes, warm weather is not conducive to hot chocolate although I could drink it at breakfast before I started cutting back on sugar! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! I love setting the table with new linens each week and the lovely light that comes through the sliding glass doors. I want my home to be an inviting place. I have a feeling yours has the same feeling. @sangwann Thanks Dione! I had taken a shot in color too, but the sepia really looked so much better. @chrismarfil Thanks Chris! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! It really does go so much faster than we think. Jeff and I were just talking to friends on Sunday about our trip to Nashville to pick up the banjo and they asked when we went. All of a sudden I realized it was 7 years ago! It seemed like yesterday! @steeler Thanks Howard!
@edie Thank you Edie! If you are ever in the Pocono region on the eastern side of Pennsylvania, the welcome mat is out, the door is open and the lights are on!
