Although it's not the most picturesque restaurant in the Poconos, Saen, the Thai restaurant is definitely one of the best! I love their Pahd Thai!
It was dreary and gray today- and a bit on the chilly side, so I gave the restaurant a "painting" treatment and added a blue sky on as a texture in iPiccy.
Thank you to one and all! It's true as most of you said, the outside of a place does not always match the wonders inside on the plates! And that's the case here- although, the inside decor is quite beautiful. The owner and chef is from Thailand and still travels there. He has brought back some amazing artwork from the country- my favorites being the table tops carved from corkwood- 3D with glass over top. You don't know whether to eat the food or stare at the carving!
@prttblues Thanks Bev! It's actually not a very attractive building. Cut out of this shot is the rest of the building which houses a post office, pizzeria and dentist. Also, thanks to the wonders of processing, it is slightly more colorful than you'd think. The colors are somewhat drab, but because I warmed them up and then added the blue sky, they look much nicer.
nice to know you are a tad adventurous with food. i love thai and vietnamese food, but lately i'm going for curried foods. i rather like the way you processed this, looks norman rockwell-ish to me. i like it.
@summerfield What do you know, I just discovered this comment! I think this was the artistic painting effect in iPiccy. But it's been so long I can't really remember!
