Not too far from my home we have a lovely trail that runs along the Delaware River in National Park land. In spite of the breezy weather today, I enjoyed exploring a new leg of the trail. This beautiful spot is where Adam's Creek joins the Delaware River. Don't let the blue sky fool you! It was a brisk 36 degrees according to the weather service. But it sure felt good to be outside in spite of the cooler temperature. I'm glad I did a little exercising today.
If it wasn't for 365, we might have said "maybe tomorrow" I took some too - exercise, that is! It would be lovely to hear the sound of the water here too!
quite a different perspective from the usual woods-water-sky-clouds-woods scenario. i like that you the 'end' of the water is obscured by the images of the trees in the middle of the frame. it creates a sense of anticipation and excitement. this looks so natural and life-like. it doesn't look like it's been processed, maybe a tad bit? it's a great shot.
So peaceful, I love the framing of this shot. Trees close enough to touch and far enough to wonder about, and the peaceful stream winding throughout....
Thank you to each and every one of you! With so much catching up to do I must resort to the dreaded "mass thank you". But please know that each comment was appreciated and that I will do my best to catch up with everyone's shots over the week end!
@allie912 Thank you Allison! Today it was still brisk but gray as well. Oh brrrrrr! I was so hoping the warmer temps would stay. Well, it won't be long before Spring's official start date and the daffodils are coming up so they're not too far away after all.
I really like your new series. I always like to learn about others' favorites things and places. Good idea, and I look forward to more. Beautiful place to go walking.
@inertie Thank you Pinar! I had been swimming at our community pool but when Hurricane Sandy knocked out our power, I lost the motivation. I'm not feeling motivated to go back either! But I do want to explore more of this trail. So as the weather improves I plan to walk more. I am not crazy about exercising- but I really most keep myself more active or my arthritis will totally stiffen me up! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! Alia designed this challenge and I've struggled with it a little bit. Not so much in what to shoot, but how to get the shot. We don't go out a lot and I don't have a job so some of the days were hard to come by. I seem to be in the swing of it now. Glad you're enjoying the pictures.
It DID fool me! Looks like a beautiful day and well spent. I love the water opening up thru the trees with the V of land coming in from the side to guide you thru the opening.
@moreyoulessme Thank you Jerri! It was certainly brisk- but well worth it! @mittens Thank you Marilyn! I do want to go back to this spot- on a warmer day! Thank you for stopping by to take another look!
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I hope to walk on the trail a lot more this year- for health and pleasure.
@nadaa Thanks Nada! If you want to come out for a photo shoot- this is where we'll go- it's a lovely trail, easy to walk and has some beautiful vistas of the Delaware River. Plus there are a few old barns nearby with other photo opps too.
@bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! Although the Delaware is not as mighty as the Mississippi or as popular as the Hudson as it winds around Manhattan, it does have its own beauty and scenic vistas. I'm glad 365 has gotten me out to see them.
