I spent most of today preparing a little talk I'll be giving to the Women's Association tomorrow on one of the places I love to remember- Jerusalem. So here's a vignette of my outline, study notes, and a shot of me in Jerusalem in the year 2000. The rabbis say that the world was given 10 measures of beauty and 9 fell on Jerusalem. The Arabs call it El Kuds- the holy city. It is also known as The City of David and the City of Peace, although it is not always peaceful there. For me, it was powerful to walk its streets not once but three times and each trip has a special memory- too long to go into here! If I'm ever able to return, I'll be there in a heart beat, but until then I shall pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and for all the people who live there.
@alia_801 My apologies Alia! I keep moving the days around- but it's been really helpful to do the shots this way. I know you don't mind but I just thought I'd let you know how much I appreciate the freedom!
@lfrans Thank you Liane! It is going to be fun- most of these ladies are in their late 60's and early 70's! They are so sweet! So it will be a very simple and personal talk about my experiences there. I'm looking forward to it.
Great composition and also captures you day(s) -- perfect image for 365. Jerusalem really is such a special area -- I envy your multiple trips there. I'd go back in a minute as well.

Thank you Kerri!
Thank you Edie!
Thank you Taffy!
Thank you Diane!
Yes, I've been blessed to have been there all 3 times- it's one of those events in my life I still can't believe happened. But I learned so much from each trip!
Oh this is Fabulous and a Fav Ann! God has blessed you with so many great talents! And to be able to go to Jerulselum 3 times!! What favor you have! Im sure your presentation will be a great hit , just like this photo! FAV!
How wonderful - I visited Jerusalem too briefly on a rushed coach trip and would love to go back to explore it more leisurely. I'm sure the talk will be of great interest and well received.
Thank you Meg, Tanja, Terry, Smitha, Ellen (thank you for the fav!!!!), Phil (I do hope you get to go back!) and Dione!
Thank you for the well-wishes too. I have to say, I was amazed I was able to go the first time. The second and third trips were truly a blessing from above. I am now forever shaped and changed by each visit and would be remiss in the practice of my faith, if I did not share what I can about my trips there. And of course, I get to tell stories about them which I love to do!!
Beautiful narrative and excellent display of your memories from this fabulous journey. How fortunate you were to be able to explore this area in such detail and 3 times yet!
@cimes1 Thank you Carole! Yes, to have been there once was amazing but I never imagined I'd be able to go more than once let alone 3 times. It was truly a gift from God each time.
Wonderful vignette of your material of Jerusalem. I know how much you have enjoyed your trips to the Holy Land, and I would love to hear your talk. You are a passionate and knowledgeable person.
the photo of the young ann pulled me in right away. very nice set up and composition. i'd like to one day sit down on one of these events where you speak and listen to you. yes, that's one do-able goal. maybe in the next few months or so. :-)
@pandorasecho Thank you Dixie! Do not believe any of the news reports you hear in the US. It is quite safe there- neither the Jewish residents or the Arab residents of Jerusalem like the extremists. The people are loving and gracious- and everyone welcomes you.

Nice shot. What a lovely thing to share. I hope that your talk went well. It looks like you were well prepared. Perfect set up of each item in the shot. Well done! :)
Great image - hope the talk went well. The Holy Land is one of the 20 million (only joking) places I want to visit. I have a list of places to visit and the Holy Land is one of the places I intend to visit in the next 8 - 9 years before my next big birthday (hopefully I can manage to fit all 4 of my intended holidays in by then).
Thank you Matthew!
Thank you Jerri!
Thank you Rick! I hope you can too- it changes your life!
