No, this is not shadows on water, but you may think it is. Want to try and guess what it is? I was able to bring out a little mauve for the technicolor April challenge by manipulating the color a bit. According to my dictionary, mauve is pinkish violet to reddish purple. Funny I always thought it was a grayish-pinkish-brown!
I agree with you, Ann - I always thought it was grayish-pinkish-brown. Also, most people say, "mauv", where I've always pronounced it "mov". with a long "o". I have no clue what this is - sure looks like water to me!
Thank you one and all!! I was impressed with all your guesses and they were good ones, but they weren't right! Believe it or not, these shadows are falling across the tarp that covers our wood pile! It's made of black plastic but during the golden hour while the sun sets, the shadows and light change the color completely! It never ceases to amaze me what light and shadow will do to any given subject throughout the day.
@olivetreeann My gosh -- I would NEVER have guessed!! It shows that the good photo isn't finding the beautiful spot necessarily. Rather, it's about seeing beauty and capturing it even in the most unlikely of places!
@Cheesebiscuit (o: @daisy Thanks Kathryn! It is a surprise, isn't it? @janetoner Thank you Jane! Now that I'm in my third year on 365, I have come to realize there is no such thing as "ordinary". (o: @prttblues Thanks Bev! The answer is above in that mass thank you- I'm too lazy to type it out again! hehe
