It was cloudy. It was sunny. It drizzled. It stopped. The weather could not make up its mind today. I was outside gathering some gardening tools so that I could plant some flowers which had been given to me (in between the water droplets) and these happy little marigolds in this nice blue pot caught my attention. I decided to shoot it just as I saw it.
The same here today, but no rain at all. That moved on out, probably up your way. I am hoping for good weather next Saturday for our meet up. Not too hot and not too chilly.
@deniseinindy Thank you Denise! I bought this pot and a matching one at Walmart of all places! It looks best with orange or yellow plants although last year I had purple ones in there. @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! Me too! Although with all the walking and climbing I think I'd rather have it chilly- once you warm up and get the blood flowing you don't feel it as much as you would if it was hot.
@pflaume Thanks Lisa! Yes, it's planting time! I even put some things in the ground today- which will come up next year- but for me that's a big thing as it is so hard to get up and down!
Like the rustic pot, marigolds set it off well! We have just come out of spring, although the weather here has been very unseasonal too.... We are all sun starved over here!
Thank you Jackie, Alia, Sally, Taffy, Vickie, Cindy, Katie, Edie, MaryBeth and Kathryn! I really appreciate your comments and feedback. It was a quick shot but I'm glad I posted it.
@mrssmith203 Thank you Carla! I only bought a few this year as money is so tight, but even a few really brighten up the deck. @potsbypam Thank you Pam! I buy them for a more practical reason. Marigolds keep the bug population at bay.
