Today was the final day of our Sunday School program. The teachers will take a well-earned rest for the summer. The students took charge of the Sunday morning service and our class (the teens) performed a skit illustrating what we'd learned through the year. I was SOOOOO proud of our class! We had three weeks to prepare and in spite of a last minute cast change of our major character at the dress rehearsal (yikes!), there were no glitches, fumbles or mistakes. The congregation loved it and the teens came away from the experience feeling pretty good about themselves. As I introduced our class, I had the opportunity to tell everyone what a joy it was for Jeff (seated in the second row on the left) and I to teach them this year. So here they are hamming it up on the steps of the manse. Our challenge word for the day was "something that rhymes with June" and since our skit, which was entitled Scripture Dog, was very cartoonish, I processed the photo in cartoon style.
Nice shot, Ann! :) Looks like a great group of kids and looks like they had a good time posing. Love the effect you've done. How do you do cartoon effect?? I still can't figure that out! Nice job.
Thank you Maggie, Diane, Nicole, Bev, Edie, Rick, and Janice! They make it easy- they are so much fun to work with.
@prttblues Bev, I was jumping back and forth on the internet sites that are free; processing this picture on a couple of them, so I'm not certain but I think this one is from Befunky. They have two "cartoon" applications for this effect- I think this is the second one.
Thank you Mark! Thank you Phil! Yes- the original was a great deal of fun, but the cartoon effect also helps to protect the innocent- although the effect has left them looking anything but innocent! haha!
neat-o effect ann, and perfect fit for the rhyme! very clever. sounds like they had a great time with the skit and the cartoon processing is fabulous. i love the porch and steps...looks like a north carolina home :)
@moreyoulessme Thanks Jerri! Yes, they did a great job and we were really proud of them. I could see where it would be a similar style to those in the South- it's colonial and I think was built around the same time as the church- 1825.
Thank you Kerri!
Thank you Laraine! I will be glad for the rest and in three weeks I will miss them!
