Ruby

Got my days mixed up and didn't realize today's word was not 'boat' but 'blue, white and red'. But I had planned to reprocess an old shot for the word ruby, so I decided to stay with the original plan. I took this shot back in May when Laraine and I got together for a photo shoot. I love the play of light through glass and the eclectic second-hand shop had plenty of subjects to choose from. Today I decided I'd play around with the colors and exposure to give this red vase a ruby-rich tint and was surprised to see what happened to the sunlight in the process. Sometimes I just love how these experiments turn out!!
