Great composition and I love the different degrees of shine in the different surfaces, as well as the details of the engraving on the different parts of the safe. I get the feeling that whoever produced this safe saw it as a work of art not just a utilitarian object.
@jeanniec57 The approval came in at the very last minute- we barely got it out to the club and even then the time frame was limited. But it definitely was an opportunity of a lifetime.
@gardencat They absolutely did Joanne- the engraving was amazing. This safe was produced by the Diebold Safe and Lock Co. Canton Ohio in 1889- it's 135 years old! No one knows what is going to happen to it as this building will no longer be a bank now that this location has been discontinued.
@onewing The security checks and such on this vault were amazing! There were back-up systems for the back-up systems!
@jeanniec57 LOL- Hubby and I were slated to leave for a family reunion that morning and I told him we would later just so I could go to this! Thankfully he didn't mind complying.
