Try 4 July word- needle. Pulled out my old sewing kit (I've had it since fourth or fifth grade!) for this shot. I still remember when my mom gave me this. The scissors have long since dulled, and I have a better pair now, but I still use the box for some of my other sewing tools and a couple keepsakes.
either that's a very big needle or a really small pair of scissors! awesome shot - i can really see the enjoyment you had using these. very lovely colours, too!

@espyetta Thanks Marybeth! The scissors came with the sewing kit and so did some needles, but not that one. That was a later addition I bought for some project or another and still have lying around. I am an ok sewer- can do enough to put patches on worn out boy's jeans and a simple hem on a curtain. But that's really it. My mother was much better- she even did her own smocking on our dresses when we were little.
