This little one was startled by us on our walk the other day. I managed to get off a few snaps before she headed for the woods. I decided to leave it sooc (with just a little cropping) instead of playing with the exposure. I sort of like the line between the sunlight and shade. Since today's Try 4 July word was gentle, it seemed appropriate to finally post the picture.
@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! She had a sibling too, but that one ran away almost immediately. Funny how a Golden Retriever can do that to a fawn! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @dakotaburns Thank you Donald!
Thank you Brian, Judith, Taffy, Yao, Sally, Nicole, Alia, Dion, Terry, Allison, Timothy, Carla and Henri!
@yaorenliu Yes, Yao it's wild. I live in an area that is surrounded by woods. There are quite a few animals that we can see wandering through the neighborhood- deer, turkey, raccoon, opossum, and on a rare occasion bear and fox. Of course there a lots of birds, chipmunks and squirrels too!
@nicolecampbell It is Nicole- and I've heard you talk about the kangaroo in the same way we do about the deer here- they can be pests and they are particularly frustrating when they eat your plants!
@yaorenliu Thankfully we do not see them very often- maybe once every two years. It really depends on how well people keep their garbage stored and covered. For the most part people around here do a good job at keeping the bears away. But we do have a trout stream nearby and bears will fish there if they don't find enough berries in the woods.
@prttblues Thank you Bev! And thanks so much for the fav! I was lucky to get this because Gabby (Dianne's dog) hadn't quite realized she was there. I got three shots off before she ran into the woods and Gabby finally saw her and barked.
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
@dakotaburns Thank you Donald!
