@espyetta Thanks Marybeth! I started a few weeks ago. I thought it would be fun to have one squirrel who'd come up to the deck so that Isaac (my grandson) could see him. At that time, Buster was just out of the nest and a perfect candidate for training. Thus a friendship was born! @homeschoolmom Thank you Lisa! And thank you for the fav!! @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @nicolecampbell Thank you NIcole! And thank you for taking the time to check out my pictures while you're on that fabulous vacation!! @dibzgreasley Thank you Debs! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! LOL I am being very careful to keep him slightly wary of me. I will never feed him by hand (although I know you can train them to so that) so that he will still forage and look for food as all the other squirrels do. And yes, even try to conquer the bird feeder! @filsie65 Thank you Phil! @sangwann Thank you Dione! Yes, he's not really a squirrel who likes me for my brains! @tuya Thank you Claire! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! As much as they can drive you crazy, squirrels really are quite clever! @daisymiller Thank you Daisy! He does have some rather endearing expressions! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! Hehe- this is not really surprise- as the old Carly Simon song goes- anticipation... @lilminimonka Thank you Brianna! He is funny, that's true!
So he was a little one when you started? That is a great idea! My deck is so high, I never see squirrels on it. Darn. But I guess some people would like that.
@espyetta I guess I'd say he was in his toddler stage- not quite a baby. @taffy He positively excited to see the peanut! @jborrases Thanks J. Yes, he comes looking for them and peeks into the window to see if I'm there! @paulavdmerwe Thanks Paula! @vickisfotos Thanks Vicki!
Great shot, Ann! He looks like he really wants those peanuts! What a funny look he has! Incredible! I wish I had an animal around here that I could lure to my door. I have a feeling people are really getting bored with my bird photos. Now that the snow has almost all gone (yes, we still have some left), I have to get up to my mountain early for some good sunrises.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! It's not as hard as you might think. Chickadees are supposed to be easy to train to come to your hands for food. If you really want to do that, you need things like sunflower seeds, peanuts or thistle and a LOT of patience! @vesna0210 Thank you Vesna!
