It's really not that dangerous while standing against the wall in Jane's kitchen. But the wood is carved quite expertly and I imagine it did the job when it was in the hands of an Amish farmer.

Nice shot, Ann! What a funny old pitchfork. It looks a bit uneven. Is it iron? Very cool nonetheless. I like the way it contrasts with the background.

@prttblues Thank you Bev! This pitchfork is carved out of one piece of wood and is standing in the corner of my friend Jane's dining room (which is just off the kitchen and decorated in a vintage country style).
