Cantaloupe Rinds

Discovered this abstract in the bowl of biodegradable leftovers that was headed to Jane's mulch pile.

I just read all of your lovely comments on my recent pictures. thank you so much. I know it's not easy to catch up at times. I've not commented on many of my friends and followers pictures over the time we were so busy with the apartment and the last week I've been too sick with this nagging cough. I lost a lot of sleep over it. the cough keeps me awake at night and now I feel like a zombie. yesterday and today I rested and napped most of the day. but can you ever make up for lost sleep? today, I finished 10 days of antibiotics and hope I feel better soon. the cough is almost gone, but I still have a scratchy throat. during the day I saw this picture and know I wrote a comment. I said that I just finished a bowl full of fruit which included cantaloupe, but the rind when taken off never looked so appealing as your picture.

Thank you to each and every one of you. Your comments made me smile. I find that the more I enjoy photography and learn about it, the more I am concentrating on the aspect of "seeing". Seeing is the part of photography that makes you take pictures of cantaloupe rinds because you don't see them as discarded fruit parts, but lines and color and symmetry. I don't always see things well, but in this case, the bowl was set apart from everything else so it stood out on its own.

Thank you Debs, Gerry, Wendy and Mike for all your favs!

@digitalrn Yes it was and I'm not a really huge melon fan- but I liked this one!

@bruni You're more than welcome Bruni! Try some Ginger tea with honey for that sore throat and cough. It helps me when I have those symptoms. Twinnings makes a nice Ginger and Lemon version that is caffeine free.

I agree, it is interesting! Well done!

this would've been perfect for the 'eye of the beholder' challenge, if one is on-going. why, i just put the rinds of my cantaloupe in the organic waste recycling bin! :-)
