Vikki thought I should try out the macro lens. Good idea Vikki!! Although I'm not quite certain how the focus works, I'm pleased with today's results. The bees are totally stuffing themselves on the Coneflower pollen this year! It's not unusual to see two or three bees on each bloom. And they are so interested in the food that they could care less about me!
Great diptych, Ann. Wonderful capture of the bees and flowers. Excellent detail! I had a hard enough time getting one bee and you got three??? You are far braver than I!! Well done :)
Wonderful capture, Ann. Great work with the macro lens. Not easy to do! I haven't been around much. Missed seeing you work! Hope you are enjoying your summer!
I can't thank you all enough for such great comments and for bolstering my confidence with this camera! How exciting to see that it made the TP!
@prttblues Bev- you should see the size of this lens! And the crazy thing is that you can't go in close with it- you have to stand back- it's that powerful. So believe it or not, I was not on top of these bees like I usually am with my little p & s. I was at least 2 yards away from them!
@pflaume Thank you Lisa! I thought I hadn't seen a shot from you lately and I always love your work as well. My summer has been very busy but a very good busy! I hope yours is going well also. I hope you'll keep stopping by when time permits!
@taffy Thank you Taffy! The move up to a better camera is daunting! But I am taking it one step at a time and even though I can pull off a shot now, I want to understand the mechanics of the camera more. I've got a lot of learning to do!
My thanks to you Terry, Suzie, Carole, Sue, Lorraine, and Vikki for your generous favs! I was so excited to see that this made the TP!
