Now this was a stretch! I had to continue my THINKPINK week, but I'd also promised to come up with something for the latest What Would You Do? Challenge. I decided this castle needed one of those pink flamingoes and the processing just took off from there!
Very creative WWYD. Cool processing. And I like Think Pink! It's my motto and not just in October but every day of every month of the year. I lost a friend to breast cancer a 4 years ago. She was only 31.
I was just commenting to @sharleen that no one has yet posted a pink bird for thinkpink week. Wonderful processing Nice that you could combine the two challenges!
My thanks to you all. Wow- I'm looking at it again today and still thinking, "I really went over the top with this one!"
There is a funny story behind this flamingo (and its buddy who didn't make it into the final picture). When we first moved into our home here in the Poconos, it came with two lawn statues- a deer (whom I dubbed "Bambi") and a raccoon (who became known as Rocky). Our good friend JoAnn (who LOVES frogs) gave us (you guessed it) a plump old frog (which she named Mr. Frog) and he happily settled in with the other two. Jeff did not mind the frog so much- after all he was a gift- but he can't stand the deer and barely tolerates the raccoon. But I wouldn't let him get rid of them. First of all because I get a little humor out of him sputtering on about them (We have the real thing here! Why do we need statues???), but also because I just find them whimsical. One day Jeff declared in frustration, "The next thing you know we'll have a pair of those stupid plastic flamingoes here too!" Well, you know I just had to get him some for Christmas that year...
@pyrrhula Thank you so much for the fav Pyrryhula!
`` I wonder how anyone could be paid to do this!!” ``. Vincent van Gogh never sold a painting . But art is not to be argue. Just to like or don`t like.
