I'm joining @summerfield and @bill_fe this week with their black and white challenge. Okay, so I broke the rules a little bit on this one. It's monochrome and not completely black and white as you can see. I started out with a color shot, converted to black and white and was just about to post it when I saw this effect (the name of which is escaping me now) and was too tempted not to try it. Well, it looked so good I couldn't undo it!
Had some fun with the crystal ball today and was totally amazed to get both an upside down world and a cool reflection of the sky in this shot.
Very, very cool and I agree, you should NOT have undid it...I know undone, but undid sounded funny!! Love the crystal ball and all of the effects!!
Huge FAV!
Nice one Ann, great focus. I think you chose sepia, which was a processing option when printing black and white photos back in the days when I did b&w in the darkroom. I use sepia frequently when processing in Lightroom. It's still considered b&w, and any monotone fits for our challenge, thanks for joining.
WOW!!!!!!! Thank you so much for the overwhelming comments and favs! I'm practically speechless- really!! Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough, but it is completely and sincerely heart-felt!!
@maggiemae yes, the color version is great too- will save it for a rainy day.
@sangwann@fugitivemoments Dione and Linda- it's really simple truth be told. You can hand-hold them or put them on a pedestal. It's on the pedestal for this one. And then it's just a matter of positioning the ball to catch the reflection or subject you want to be upside down.
@bill_fe I'm looking forward to finishing out the month with you and Vikki. I really like the remaining subjects and I've opened a third album in case I need an extra spot to post something!
@alia_801 I will put it in your post tonight separately so you can delete it afterwards.
you've probably told people where you can get the crystal ball... Unless you want to keep it a secret, which I completely understand. I can't really add anything to all that's been said. Aceat I want a crystal ball too!
@creativeaddict Thanks Laur! I got it at Amazon.com. It was relatively inexpensive! Happy shopping! @dibzgreasley Thanks Debs! This is a banner week- 2 in a row on the PP and winning the WCYS challenge (which I entered on a whim to help Vikki out!).
@susale Thank you Suse! I must say this is also the best one I have ever taken. @neatz Thank you Anita! @ceilidh Thank you Margaret! And thank you so much for the fav! @janiskay Good question Janis! I don't know....the box says 110MM but I have no idea what that means. I took a tape measure to it and it measured 13 1/2 inches around the center. I don't think when I ordered it that I even thought they may come in different sizes. @eudora Thank you Diane! @kporte Thank you Keith!
Great shot, Ann. I love it. I so want a crystal ball. I see so many people using them and would love to see what I can do with one. Probably nothing as good as this. This is fabulous. Fav.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! They are relatively inexpensive on Amazon. Hint to that Sweetheart of yours that it would make a great Christmas present! And thanks for the fav!! @bruni Thank you Bruni! And thank you for the fav too!
Huge FAV!
I just bought one and am having fun with it.
