Landscape- Outdoors 2

I'm joining @summerfield and @bill_fe this week with their black and white challenge. Okay, so I broke the rules a little bit on this one. It's monochrome and not completely black and white as you can see. I started out with a color shot, converted to black and white and was just about to post it when I saw this effect (the name of which is escaping me now) and was too tempted not to try it. Well, it looked so good I couldn't undo it!

Had some fun with the crystal ball today and was totally amazed to get both an upside down world and a cool reflection of the sky in this shot.
Awesome shot

Very, very cool and I agree, you should NOT have undid it...I know undone, but undid sounded funny!! Love the crystal ball and all of the effects!!
Huge FAV!

I do love a b&w challenge and think monochrome counts. Good composition in the way you've used the ball.

Wonderful shot. Fav.

I admire what you have got here butt do think it would be brilliant in colour! However it is the B&W challenge and its got to be good for that!

Fabulous shot and processing
November 12th, 2014
A great capture and I love your processing.

This is amazing, one of the best images you have taken Ann
November 12th, 2014
Precise, yet curved, delineations of light. Neat shapes and forms, very artistic. I feel almost hypnotized! Fav. :)

Marvelous shot and love the processing, it works so well!
November 12th, 2014
FAV. Magnificent presentation. I wish I knew how you do this.
November 12th, 2014
Pretty pic in the ball - I really have to get around to getting one of those! PS Can you leave me your postal address in a comment somewhere please?
November 12th, 2014
Another good one, it's nice and clear
November 12th, 2014
YAY - what a great job you did with this - really nice !!!!
November 12th, 2014
Nice one Ann, great focus. I think you chose sepia, which was a processing option when printing black and white photos back in the days when I did b&w in the darkroom. I use sepia frequently when processing in Lightroom. It's still considered b&w, and any monotone fits for our challenge, thanks for joining.

@cashew @vickisfotos @dibzgreasley @bkbinthecity @taffy @thresheg @maggiemae @bizziebeeme @thistle @nicolecampbell @gratefulness @nicoleterheide @sangwann @alia_801 @digitalrn @vega @bill_fe @rubicon @lindacarol @henrir @pyrrhula @fugitivemoments @sarasdadandmom @altadc @janiskay @lfrans @annied

WOW!!!!!!! Thank you so much for the overwhelming comments and favs! I'm practically speechless- really!! Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough, but it is completely and sincerely heart-felt!!

@maggiemae yes, the color version is great too- will save it for a rainy day.

@sangwann @fugitivemoments Dione and Linda- it's really simple truth be told. You can hand-hold them or put them on a pedestal. It's on the pedestal for this one. And then it's just a matter of positioning the ball to catch the reflection or subject you want to be upside down.

@lindacarol They are so much fun to play with!

@bill_fe I'm looking forward to finishing out the month with you and Vikki. I really like the remaining subjects and I've opened a third album in case I need an extra spot to post something!

@alia_801 I will put it in your post tonight separately so you can delete it afterwards.

you've probably told people where you can get the crystal ball... Unless you want to keep it a secret, which I completely understand. I can't really add anything to all that's been said. Aceat I want a crystal ball too!

@olivetreeann Another well deserved PP Ann! This really was a fab shot, if I may say so again.

@creativeaddict Thanks Laur! I got it at Amazon.com. It was relatively inexpensive! Happy shopping!
@dibzgreasley Thanks Debs! This is a banner week- 2 in a row on the PP and winning the WCYS challenge (which I entered on a whim to help Vikki out!).

@susale Thank you Suse! I must say this is also the best one I have ever taken.
@neatz Thank you Anita!
@ceilidh Thank you Margaret! And thank you so much for the fav!
@janiskay Good question Janis! I don't know....the box says 110MM but I have no idea what that means. I took a tape measure to it and it measured 13 1/2 inches around the center. I don't think when I ordered it that I even thought they may come in different sizes.
@eudora Thank you Diane!
@kporte Thank you Keith!
November 15th, 2014
@olivetreeann Thanks, yes there are different sizes some larger and some smaller then yours.
