Open wide and let me check for cavities!

Would you believe this little prop is truly ancient? My dentist gave it to me YEARS ago when I was a child and had a good check-up. It came in quite handy too when the boys were growing up and they wanted to see if they had a loose tooth. Do dentists still give out prizes for good check-ups?
