We were in Corning NY today meeting up with Leigh and her mom and after that Leigh came back home with us for a visit. While Jeff and I were walking to the restaurant where we had determined to meet, I spotted this "advertisement" of sorts. It's not exactly how I'd advertise my faith, but it works for some.
@mzbull Thanks Mz! Oh, I don't mind "advertising" in the sense if someone asks me what I believe, I tell them, but I just don't put it on the bumper of my car. To each his own though, and I must say, the fellow who owns this car was friendly and pleasant to everyone who walked by. I should have asked him if I could take his picture with the car. But that's where I am timid!!
@creativeaddict Thanks Laur! It was fun and not offensive- and it's owner was very nice. No fire and brimstone, just a boldness for the faith.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie! Yes, the fellow who owned the car was sitting nearby and said hello to all who passed in a very friendly voice and that was it. No "Bible thumping" as some call it and no scare tactics. Just a friendly fellow with a fun car.
@annied Thank you Annie! True- while I admire the boldness of his display, I could never do this. On the other hand I have no problem telling people what I do believe- I'm just not as bold about it.
@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel! Yes, you do and I admire people who are not afraid to just come right out and tell others about what they believe. I will tell others, I'm just not as brave!
@eudora Thank you Diane! I am not afraid to talk about what I believe, but I'm not as bold. I do admire that though and the nice thing about this was that the owner was sitting near his car and just saying hello to anyone who walked by. That's it- just a nice friendly hello and people were really responding to it.
@annied I understand- I don't like the in-your-face stuff from anyone either. But, thankfully it was just a decorated car. The owner was nearby and all he was doing was just saying "hi" to folks and wishing them a good day and everyone seemed to like his greetings. So although the car was a little outrageous, he was very respectful.

@salza Thanks Sally! Yes, I think you're right.
