Flag Lowering Ceremony at Cape May by olivetreeann

Flag Lowering Ceremony at Cape May

We had gone for a walk along the beach and thought we'd watch the sunset. We found out the Kiwanis has a flag lowering ceremony each evening. As part of the ceremony they ask some of the children to help. This evening two sets of siblings were the assistants. The boys were twins and reminded us of our grandsons Isaac and Micah. They were a bundle of energy but it when it was the time to lower and fold the flag they were very serious and did a great job! The girls were very sweet too. It was very moving to watch as Taps was played over the speakers.
Lovely capture with the children joining in and what a great idea.
