@pyrrhula Thank you Ferry! "It's in the blood" is a saying we use which means the reason why someone does something in a certain way or feels something in a certain way is due to ancestors or other family members in the bloodline that have also acted or felt the same way. For me, it comes from my father's side of my family tree. My grandmother's line was Dutch- Vancovenhoven in the English which was shortened to Conover eventually. I love wide open skies- both in farm country and by the sea and the more photos I see from your project that show these kinds of landscapes in the Netherlands, the more I'm convinced my love of these things comes from the genetics of my ancestors. I hope that explains it well enough. Some of these old sayings make sense to us but describing why they do can be tricky!!
