Orchestra of Ants

Or are they bees? I was standing at the music shop window when Bill the owner and creator of Bill's Old Bike Barn and Museum came up and pointed these fellows out. He found them in Europe and was quite pleased with them. I sensed he wanted me to take a picture of them so I got out my macro lens for the shot. They may look like an average size here but they are less than an inch tall! I'll be sending Bill a copy and I hope he likes it.
