Restaurants here are making big productions of preparing s’mores table side. My favorite s’mores memory is at Girl Scout Camp, I can still remember how they tasted. 😊

@maggiemae@ludwigsdiana@salza I don't know if other countries are familiar with them but here's how we make them in the USA. The best are made around a campfire (but for those who can't wait until the next cook out, you can do them in the microwave but you sacrifice flavor that way). First you prep a graham cracker by breaking it in half then topping one side with a Hershey's chocolate bar that has been broken in two. (Save the other part of the chocolate bar for the next one- because you always want some more (s'more) of these!). Next toast a marshmallow over the fire- some prefer the golden brown toast, others a slightly more charcoaled version- toast to your individual taste; there's no right or wrong way. Once the marshmallow is toasted and soft, place it on top of the graham cracker with the chocolate and put the other half of the graham cracker on top of that forming a sandwich so that the chocolate melts a little bit. Then eat it- it's a little gooey and sticky, but boy does it taste good! Variations using different chocolates and chocolate stuffed marshmallows have surfaced in recent years, but the classic version here, is still the most popular I think.
