From the photo club Shoot Out at Parkside Chapel. This is the one and only stained glass window in the sanctuary. It was dedicated to two children "by their loving mother." The curators of the chapel tried to find out more information about the family and the children, but came up drawing a blank as to what happened to the children and how the window came to be placed here in their memory.
Pretty stained glass.
I've been trying to research a local church and finding nothing online. My theory is that church records got lost, possibly when the church closed.
@eudora This church is only open during Spring and Summer- it has absolutely no electricity so once the air gets chilly, it's hard to worship there. Even the organ is pumped "by hand"! They did find the Nash names on some hotel registers and I think also there was an article in the paper about the family vacationing- but nothing about the children. It's hard to say what kind of bad thing happened to them- and the newspapers of this time frame make no mention of epidemics or illnesses that they could have contracted and died from- so who knows?
