Helleborine by olivetreeann

Helleborine

For several years now this lovely wildflower has blossomed here and there in my yard. I didn't know what it was and couldn't find it in my nature books, so it remained a mystery. Until yesterday when Geertje (@geertje on June 29) posted a picture of one in her album! After she sent some further info my way, it was "case closed" and I finally knew the name of my mysterious flower- Helleborine!
How nice to get the info you needed, and it always amazes me how beautiful some wild weeds can be.

@digitalrn @flydragon @roejan Thanks to all- it is a beautiful flower, but you'd never know it at first glance. You must look from underneath to see the blossoms. Sort of how we must sometimes look beyond the everyday to see what a person is really like, or a picture waiting to be taken.
