Milo has reached his destination. Dictionopolis is only a gate entry away. But first he must explain his reason for being there to a gruff gate keeper. "Come now, if you don't have a reason, you must at least have an explanation or certainly an excuse!" the stern sentry states. But Milo can't think of anything to say. After another scolding, the gate keeper steps into his guard house and produces a suitcase which he rumages through with mumblings and grumblings until he pulls out a small medallion on a chain. It reads, WHY NOT?. "That's a good reason for almost anything- a bit used perhaps, but still quite servicable." The medallion is draped around Milo's neck and he is allowed entry into Dictionopolis.
Oh boy! How many times have I used "why not?" as a reason for doing something! Sometimes it's been a good reason. Sometimes not. Oh well, live and learn!
@steeler Thanks Howard- sometimes "Why not?" is a good question! @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @karenann Thank you Karenann- it's actually an old Samsonite that Jeff uses for some of his music stuff- but it worked really well for Milo! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! Totally doctored in processing, but I liked the outcome.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! You know the old suitcases are useful for a lot more than traveling! And they come in handy for props too! @dmariewms Thanks Marie- I was trying to remember what I did with this. It started out as a sepia shot, but I think I converted it to black and white. I then put it through the cross processing effect and finally added a texture on top. I framed it with the mirror frame, but changed the color on it to match the cross processing and lastly put a black frame on to finish it off. Funny it doesn't look like it has that many steps but it does!
