This shot will probably rank as my strangest shot of the year. Why? Because you'd never guess what made the squiggly lines, but when it reminded me of a trumpet- that said to me LOUD! Go ahead- take a guess as to what it is!
Really like this abstract. Trying to figure out the shot. I first thought it was a timed exposure, but at an aperture of 2.6 and 1/50th of a second exposure that can not be the case.
Thank you all for the fun comments- so here is the secret revealed: It's hair! I was cleaning the drain in the tub today and when I moved these out of the way, this was the way the fell. Since I could see in my mind that this could be a great LOUD shot, I took the picture. I then put the photo in the heat processing/thermal effect on Picnik first (which highlighted the lines), then the neon effect in red layered over that (which brought out the positive/negative spacial aspect). Then I had some fun with the doodle effect adding all those little confetti dots (which brought out my inner-child). So, with only 26 days left in my project, I rather doubt I will be shooting something as strange as this again, but who knows...
@alia_801 Thanks Alia- you never know what will work for a shot! @cimes1 Thanks Carole- I just happened to see it. I've definitely become more observant from 365.
@changingtides It's definitely the strangest thing I've taken a picture of since beginning this project. Thanks Allie! @prttblues Thanks Bev- I thought about your great light shots while processing this. It doesn't come close to how well yours come out!!
