Warm

It was a toss up between the wood stove and the electric stove as to who would represent warm today. The woodstove took longer to heat up, so the electric stove won out. Ahhh- the wonders of electricity!
Wow...what neat colors. Very "cool". Well, hot, well, you know... :) Like this.

@nanascraps lol Barbara!! Thanks!
@mrssmith Thanks Carla- I warmed it up using the Thermal and Orton effects in Picnik. I could have left it sooc too- but I liked the purple/orange/yellow combo better.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!

That is so interesting of a stove eye! Did know what it was at first!

@espyetta Thanks MaryBetth! Seems like I was holding the camera at an odd angle to make it look this way.

@sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- wow Austin Powers?!

Well, I won't say "cool" photo . . but I will say cool processing. Yes, electricity is wonderful.

Very cool. But there is just something special about a wood stove

there's an old song with this title. johnny mathis, i think, not sure. but cannot recall it. dangit i'm getting old.

having just come back from the tropics, this reminds me of mosquito coils, you know, those green coils, you burn one end until it reaches the centre and the smoke kills mosquitoes. only this is yellow. i'm babbling. nice shot, ann.

Now you've got me thinking! What can I do with my gas range burners?.....hmmmm. Will give it try. Cool "hot" shot ;-)

I'll just sit in front of this photo when I need to warm up!

Great idea for warm! I love the colours!

@karenann Thanks Karenann! You can say it's "hot" if you want to.
@bkbinthecity Thanks bkb- we do have a wood stove and that's what heats the house- but I felt it would have been too typical for a "warm" shot- so the electric stove was next in line.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick- I wish it really did look like this when it's on!
@summerfield lol- it does look like a mosquito coil! I should have processed it in green!
@cimes1 Thank you Carole- haha- the nice thing about this processing is that it covers up the fact the rims need a good polish!
@jmj lol Jennifer! I know you have a woodstove- that's much better than this picture!
@alia_801 Thanks Alia- that's the thermal effect overlayed with Orton. The original shot wasn't bad- but I liked the combo of the purple/orange/yellow better, so I kept them.

Very interesting shot of the everyday. I would never have thought to take this shot, but I really like it.
