This was the word on the June Word list that I thought I was not going to be able to do. And then my wonderful husband decided to take me to the seaside town of Cape May NJ for our anniversary! And although this is technically the Atlantic Ocean, I'm officially calling this shot a seascape!
Absolutely beautiful ...gorgeous pov!! Love the textures and the color tones! You could frame this one as a remembrance of your wonderful celebration and trip there.
Thank you all. I have found myself more open to shoot things that normally I'd take in color in sepia lately. I am never disappointed in how it affects the shot. This shot was very nice in the color version. But I decided to switch the settings and take it in sepia too because I thought it would bring out the wood of the fence more. The surprise was what it did to the path. Thank you so much for your compliments! They are so encouraging!
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole- it was a short and sweet day trip but we had a wonderful time! @prttblues thanks Bev! I've really gotten into sepia lately, not really sure why!
technically, the part of the ocean that is near the land is the sea. the sea beyond the beyond is the ocean.
the other day, i was at a function and met a man named 'ocean'. very serious chap so i tried to lighten the situation by asking if he has a brother or sister named 'river'. he said as he poked me in the arm "that was cute in grade 2 now not so". tee-hee!
