Here Today...

Eaten tomorrow. Someone chomped the head off my pretty Queen Anne's Lace even though it was sprayed. )o:
Would that be deer? They are voracious.

Hmm...rabbit? The green is so pretty!

Beautiful detail of this shot. Love the green.
June 26th, 2012
Aww, that's too bad!
June 26th, 2012
Beautiful details

@allie912 Thanks Allison- I don't know. It seems odd that only the Queen Anne's Lace was missing. The Day Lilies- which we sometimes call Deer Candy- were totally untouched. So...I'm not sure what ate it!
@mrssmith I haven't had them before, but there's a first time for everything!
@anazad511 Thanks Ana!
@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen!
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!

What a shame, beautiful greens
June 26th, 2012
@wenbow I know- thanks Wendy!
June 26th, 2012
Well ... it's beautiful anyway. But strange the way that it was done, isn't it?! I do love the greens and the textures of this and looks so fragile.
June 26th, 2012
:) Did you find the culprit?
June 26th, 2012
Love the beautiful greens!
June 26th, 2012
@karenann Thanks Karenann! This is the "before" picture. Today everything in this shot is missing!
@kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi- no, I don't know "who" did it- probably never will. But I gave all my flowers and extra shot of Deer Out today!
@groovygirlrn Thanks Sheri!

Still a great capture, like the rich green color and the detail.
June 26th, 2012
wasn't me! :-) lovely shot, the green is so pretty.
June 26th, 2012
@rhubbard Thanks Rich- this is the "before" shot. No more flower on the stalk now.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! lol
June 26th, 2012
Such a pity, they are really beautiful delicate flowers! Hope the plant is not badly damaged.
June 26th, 2012
Looks so beautiful. Pity they damanged it for you.
June 26th, 2012
Looks like it is open market there Ann, someone was hungry
June 26th, 2012
@salza Thanks Sally. I don't know if it will try to send up another blossom or not. But they are wildflowers and another will probably spring up again.
@sangwann Thanks Dione- this is the before shot. There's no greenery or blossom on the top now.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! It was just this one plant. The Day Lilies were still in tact, which is odd because the deer usually demolish those if I don't have them sprayed.
June 26th, 2012
Something out there was hungry! Pretty green textures in what's left at least ;-)
June 26th, 2012
@cimes1 Thanks Carole! Actually this is the before picture. The blossom hadn't opened yet.
June 26th, 2012
still very pretty! I do know how you feel, though - I've got aphids on the iris and glads. I have 400 or so plants with aphids. Thus my time shortage recently.
June 26th, 2012
Lovley macro shot of the flower any ideas what the hungry critter was.

Bev
Oh my! I bet you were surprised to find it missing. Great detail in the photo. Will another grow back?
June 26th, 2012
@dmariewms Thanks Marie- this is actually before the flower opened up- they ate the "bud", so I won't get a flower at all. I'm glad I don't have aphids, but I have noticed a lot of leaves on some of the non-blooming wildflowers are being eaten by something.
@zshadowwalker Thanks Adrian! I have no idea, so I guess it will remain a mystery.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I don't know- it was a singular stalk. But- they got my Coneflowers early on and those have sent up new shoots- so maybe. I hope!

@olivetreeann if your feeling adventurous with the camera you could use CHKD http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_for_Dummies with a motion detection script to automatically capture visitors.
June 27th, 2012
@zshadowwalker I will take a look at that- but looking at the "nibble" area today made me think it might be a deer after all.
