Jeff surprised me last night and took me out for ice cream and to watch the sunset. But we ended up seeing more of the moonrise instead. Although my point and shoot really struggles with long distance photos, I still took a few shots of the moon anyway, mostly to capture the silhouettes of the trees and mountains. I decided to play around with one photo in iPiccy today and turned the shot into something that reminds me of The Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia- Aha moment! Another entry for the movie challenge! Actually I'm quite pleased with this one since it involved putting two photos and a texture together with some interesting processing effects to the original picture.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @yonnie Thanks Yvonne! @wenbow Thanks Wendy! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @mrssmith Thanks Carla! @lyno Thanks Lyn! I have to say I don't work with Photoshop or Gimp- they seem so complicated to me, so I work with the on-line processing sites, and the free ones at that! What appears to be very technical here is not really technical at all, but it did require figuring out which pictures would best fit together. What started out as an experiment and some "play time" turned into a lot of processing fun! You can do this too. Believe me, if I can figure it out, so can you!! @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole- I know it was so sweet! I felt very special! @summerfield Thanks Vikki- you know me, the consummate experimenter when it comes to processing! But this one I wrote down so that I might try it again! It is layered in a way- but what I actually did was put the second picture in like it was a texture. And it worked! @eryck Thanks Eryck! LOVE Fantasia!!
@kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @eudora Thank you Diane! @jsw0109 Wow Jeff! Thank you!!!!! @groovygirlrn Thank you soooo much Sheri!! @gphelps5 Thanks Graham! @salza Thank you Sally! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @filsie65 Thank you Phil! @prttblues Thank you Bev! @vposey Thank you Vickie! Technically this was just the application of two "textures"- first the stars (which was a texture I saved from Picnik) and second the picture of my granddaughter. I guess that's layering, but it wasn't like merging two pictures together. @cimes1 Thank you soooo much Carole!! @jesperani Thank you soooo much Jennifer!! @automaticslim Thank you Andy! @jenniferruge Thank you Jennifer! @woot Thank you Dione!
Thank you so much everyone! I was so excited to see the comments and favs. I popped over to the PP and there was my granddaughter gazing at the stars again. I was so thrilled to see this shot there- called my daughter-in-law right away! Even though it was a short visit, it was a fun one just the same! Once again your support and enthusiasm means the world to me!!
