I am not, nor have I ever really been fashion conscious. But I had a grandmother who was very stylish and even had a very brief but exciting career as a stock actress for MGM (aka chorus girl). Although the costume jewelry was not hers, everything else in this shot was- right down to the writing on the label (Isn't it elegant?!). I wanted to try for a retro/art deco kind of fashion shot, but it didn't do the color of the ostrich feathers justice (yes, they are real!), so I used an Orton effect instead. I guess it's sort of posh looking for a fashion-challenged kind of gal. What do you think?
@cimes1 Thank you Carole! Did you fav this? If so, thank you!! @chrismarfil Thank you Chris! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @lisjam1 Thank you Lisa! Great minds think alike! @k1w1 Thank you Christine! @annaruth Thank you Anna! I take that as a very high compliment from you- you are very fashionable!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! I would love to have some real pearls. I think they are a very pretty "stone". These are two strands of costume jewelry that I bought back in the 80's!
@salza Thank you Sally! @kandernob Thank you Karen! @orangecrush Thank you Jerry- this was a fun challenge to overcome. But it had me pulling out some great family momentos. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! Although I'm not a "pink" person, I do like the combination of pink, black and white. So this was a fun shot to put together.
