ONS2 Abstract

I love to photograph the way light interacts with glass so that's what I decided to photograph for the abstract shot today. I wanted to make appear like a painting as well, so I processed it in the watercolor effect on BeFunky.
Amazing how you can process something to look exactly like a water colour - abstract in this case but wonderful colours!

@maggiemae I could easily become stuck on BeFunky! I love all their artistic effects. But then I would rely on them too much and lose the edge on my shots- so I force myself to stay away! But today's shot really said, "Make me a watercolor!" So I did!

i expected you to ace this 'abstract' prompt. you're the high priestess of abstract and processing. this is rather nice and very pleasing to the eyes. well done, my friend.

Beautiful colours and very nice processing. I'm sure it would look great printed and hanging especially if printed on canvas!

@bruni Thanks Bruni!
@prttblues Thanks Bev- ONS stands for One Night Stand. It's a one week challenge where you take a certain type of photo- one a day. This week it was Panning on Monday, Food shot on Tuesday, Perspective on Wednesday, Fashion on Thursday, Abstract on Friday, Urban Photography on Saturday (tough order for one who lives in the woods), and SOOC on Sunday. Jerry Plume has been hosting it and he put the link up for you.
@summerfield Thank you Vikki- it is becoming a niche for me!
@cortens Thank you Julie!
@salza Thanks Sally! The colors did come out nicely on this one.
@orangecrush Thank you Jerry- I've enjoyed this challenge- today's shot is the hardest, but I think I've come up with a solution!
@sangwann Thanks Dione!
@filsie65 Thanks Phil!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick!
@peterdegraaff Thank you Peter!
@cimes1 Thank you Carole!

Very pretty colours - what's the subject? I'm guessing those water globes for houseplants.
September 29th, 2012
@automaticslim Thanks Andy! No they're not the water globes, although the one does have a similar pattern. They are hand-blown glass balls that I used to have hanging in my window in our former home (but there's no place to hang them here so they are on display in a glass pitcher).
