Upside Down World by olivetreeann

Upside Down World

I went outside later this afternoon and was trying to capture a picture or two of the fog. I was on my way back inside when I noticed the little glass ball in one of my yard decorations. I love those shots taken of those glass balls that turn everything upside down and who knew I had one all along! I took the shot in color, but transferred it to sepia, then painted the glass ball back in in its original color. Next I added an olive green/yellow tint to the picture and once again, painted the ball back in in its original color. I really like the way it turned out!
I like how it turned out too! Very nice! Great processing. I am still going to buy a small crystal ball for photos. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. The trend has died out,but I want to try to do something with it that no one has done. Probably not possible, but I am going to try! Good eye on finding this "crystal ball!" fav

Fantastic Ann! Isn't it great that you had this all along? I love how you chose to process it too. I'm glad that I get to see the yellow and the reflections in are wonderful.

Super choice of colour scheme for this, and you know my usual views on selective colouring. Very good work, and I still like your fuzzy frames. :-)

I like it too.

@eudora Thank you Diane!
@henrir Thank you Henri!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! Well, I did not realize I had one until yesterday. Unfortunately it will only allow me to do yellow orb shots, and I would have to destroy the lawn thingy in order to do that, so it's staying as is! I have heard you can order the real thing on line somewhere- something to do when I have a job that will justify the expense!
@simster Thank you Simmy!
@automaticslim Thank you Andy! I try so hard not to over use them! But on this one, it just made sense- and added to the foggy feeling of the day.
@mrssmith Thank you Carla!
@daisy Thank you Kathryn!
