I sent the boys out to play into the snow today. As you can see Isaac couldn't wait to build a snowman!
The moment I applied the watercolor effect in BeFunky to this picture tonight I knew I had to post this shot. It reminds me so much of "The Snowy Day" by Ezra Jack Keats, which was one of my boys' favorite books when they were young. So sending their boys off to play in the snow like one of Keats' illustrations seemed so appropriate!
@lisjam1 Thank you Lisa! I am actually going to do a series of them in this style now and turn it into a book for the boys. I was so excited to see the way this turned out! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
I thought it looked like Ezra Jack Keats too., this is SO wonderful! The trees came out so cool...and the reddish splotches..are they leaves? Fav! Fav! Fav!
@espyetta Thanks MaryBeth- that fav means the world to me!! Yes, the little reddish spots are leaves on the Oak trees. @glendq Thank you Glendq! Oh you made me smile with the pocket comment! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! It was a nice shot of the snow in the woods and then I remembered the "boys" would work well with it. The merged shot looked nice, but I decided to play around with it in BeFunky before I posted it. Well, the rest as they say, is history! @summerfield Thank you Vikki- that fav means the world to me!! I was thinking of you as I sent the boys off into the woods. But the effect in BeFunky just brought back a flood of memories!
@dakotaburns Thanks Donald! @tara11 Thanks Tara! Thank you so much for the fav too! It really means a lot to me! @eniaral Thank you Laraine! @filsie65 Thank you Phil- I guess it's more the magic of processing, but who would have ever thought you could turn a picture into a painting like this? @sangwann Thank you Dione! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen!
@ellimae Thank you Ellen! And thank you for the fav- it means so much to me! @sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry! It is now the wallpaper on my computer screen!
@pflaume Thank you Lisa! I actually merged two photos together before the art effect was added- the boys, and the woods. It was an after thought to run it through the watercolor effect in BeFunky but of course once I applied it, it was a done deal! @nancyperry Thank you Nancy! It was a favorite of ours as well.
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
