I loved the way this leaf had fallen on to the snow the other day and after watching a tutorial on shooting pictures in the snow, I wanted to try out some of the tips I'd learned. To keep the snow from turning gray, it's advised to up the exposure a stop. I'm not sure it's that noticeable in sepia, but I liked how this format brought out the details in this otherwise dull, brown leaf.
@henrir Thank you Henri! Every now and then I get in the mood to take the typical approach and change it up a bit. Even though the leaves were brown already, I thought they'd look interesting in sepia.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I also have that setting in my camera- but prefer shooting in manual. I found I did not have to adjust the exposure all that much though. I imagine with a better camera you have options like shooting in RAW that it really makes a difference. Maybe someday I will have the opportunity to do that!
