A closer look at some of the icicles from the other day. These were below the ones in the previous photo. The whole rock wall looked like a frozen waterfall.
@httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! According to Punxsatawney Phil we are about 3 weeks away from it. (o: @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @henrir Thank you Henri! @dakotaburns Thanks Donald! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @pflaume Thank you Lisa! @lyno Thanks Lyn! I could have pulled them out but opted to photograph "as found". @jplovescotton Thanks Janice! @summerfield Thank you Vikki! Probably not- although I don't like the extreme heat, I prefer the warmer temps because it doesn't bother my joints as much. @kandernob Thank you Karen! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! Yes, we had a few cold days. But I'm a bit mad at myself because if I'd gone on the day I first thought of it, the whole wall was covered like this. By the time I finally went half of it had melted already. @sangwann Thanks Dione!
@cimes1 Thank you Carole! They are quite amazing to look at to be sure and yes, with the exception of Thursday's warm temperature, it's been a "brrrrrr" kind of week!
Oh wow!!! Very pretty! And very brrrr!! Nice shot! I love the texture of the ice and how it gives off a chilly look without even going near it! Great capture! Well done! :)
@cnlane Thank you Nelly! The ice formation on these rocks is now a thing of the past. We are heading (slowly!) into warmer weather. But next winter, when the cold returns, nature will construct a completely new ice sculpture for us to enjoy.
